As a parent and a Marsden resident I found that there wasn’t a resource in the village that incorporated facilities for the young people, families and communities of Marsden. Outside organisations seemed to struggle in finding facilities to run events especially when it came to young people. Also there didn’t seem to be a place that had a safe environment for members of the community to sit and chat and have a drink and find out what’s going on in the village. So I did a little ringing around and with a few ideas and a lot of support decided to form M.Y.A.C. Our main aim is to get a building in Marsden to be able to house the project. We would like the building to accommodate the youth and the community allowing more outside organisations to come into Marsden.
