We plan to hold a number of events throughout 2009 but we would like your ideas.
If you would like to help plan an event, or have some good ideas please come along to our next meeting to discuss them!

SELF
DEFENCE COURSES
Marsden
Youth and Community Project and Freedom Personal Safety
has joined together to offer a number of self defence
classes.
We have
applied for a grant from Cuckoos nest in Marsden and we
are planning to run the courses in June.
There
will be a couple of taster sessions first, each which
will be 2 hours long.
The
course will then run over three 3 hour sessions over 3
weeks the dates and times are still to be confirmed.
Places
will be limited.

Recent events
ETHICAL FASHION SHOW DONATION DAY IN MARSDEN - 19th September, 2009
We had a fantastic response to our first Ethical Fashion Show donation day in Marsden, see Alison and Tiff modelling some of the great items we had donated.
Please visit us at our next donation day in Slaithwaite on Saturday 3rd October on Carr Lane, 10am to 1pm.
STALL AT MARSDEN CUCKOO DAY - 25th April, 2009
Marsden and Slaithwaite Transition Towns MASTT are a local group who we shared a stall with on Cuckoo Day.
The stall had information about who they are and what they are doing and Jenni was on hand to chat about MYAC, and met lots of interesting people on the day.
We would like to thank MASTT, especially Tiff, for allowing us to share the stall!
CHRISTMAS STALL - Saturday 6th December, 2008
Have fun decorating some xmas biscuits!
Enjoy an afternoon out and come along and decorate some biscuits or just pick some up for a treat for yourself. Marsden Mechanics hall Christmas Fair, plus stop around to see the Marsden Christmas lights switch on in the evening.
Starts at 1pm: on Saturday 6th December, 2008 Ends at 4pm
Entrance free.
